As some of you know, I worked at the Goddard Institute for Space Studies back in the '70s when I was a student at Columbia, and Jim Hansen was an staff planetary climatologist who would sometimes give talks to us at lunch breaks on, for example, atmospheric effects of Venusian vulcanism. Who knew he would become the scientific prophet of global warming? Or that he would replace Robert Jastrow as the director of GISS?

Now he has written a paper twenty years after his seminal testimony in Congress. It's an interesting read. Enjoy.
